Mission & Vision

From humble roots to a lifelong mission for India's children — a commitment to their health, dignity and future.

Mission

The Work

To give every child — whatever their family can afford — timely, compassionate and evidence-based care, and to work toward a childhood free of tuberculosis through free diagnosis, treatment, immunization and community outreach.

“If we nurture our children today, we nurture our nation's destiny.” — Dr. N. K. Mittal

Vision

The Direction

To improve the health, well-being and future of India's children — especially those in underprivileged communities — recognising the powerful connection between child health and the nation's development.

“Healing young hearts, building India's future — in the service of health and medicine.” — Dr. N. K. Mittal

What Guides the Work

Guiding Principles

Compassion

Treating every child and family with warmth, patience and unwavering empathy.

Service

Medicine as a service, not a business — no child denied care for want of means.

Evidence-Based Care

Bringing current, evidence-based pediatric and neonatal care to families in Sonipat and nearby rural areas.

Equity in Healthcare

Bridging the gap so quality care reaches the poorest and most remote communities.

Societal Impact

Building healthier communities for long-term, lasting change across generations.

The Road Ahead

Vision Forward: A TB-Free Bharat

Despite decades of service, the mission is far from complete. The focus now is on pediatric tuberculosis — in Sonipat, across Haryana, and through professional forums nationally — through the following commitments:

Adopting Gram Panchayats to make them pediatric-TB-free through screening, treatment and education.

Documented: Shekhpura & Purkhas declared TB-free

Supporting TB patients as a Ni-kshay Mitra — nutritional and emotional care alongside treatment adherence.

Documented: 1,200+ personal adoptions

Raising awareness across schools, colleges and universities for TB Mukt Bharat.

Organising TB detection camps, especially in rural and underserved urban areas.

Engaging pediatricians and physicians in collaborative action against childhood TB.

Working with professional bodies such as IAP and IMA to strengthen pediatric TB advocacy and care.

Promoting BCG and catch-up immunisation to reduce vaccine-preventable disease.

Supporting evidence-based practice in pediatric TB — early detection, preventive therapy (TPT) and nutrition.

Training healthcare personnel in pediatric TB sampling and early-detection techniques in Haryana.

Documented: gastric aspirate training, Civil Hospital Sonipat

“In every child I see my God. To serve them is not my profession alone — it is my prayer, my purpose, and my promise to the nation.”
