Sensitisation of District IAP Chapter on Pediatric TB
Three sessions — TB management essentials, extra-pulmonary TB (lymph node), and the role of IAP in pediatric TB. Organised by World Health Partners with SAATHII and the District TB Cell.
From clinical practice in Sonipat to professional education, pediatric tuberculosis advocacy and public-health collaboration across Haryana and India.
For four decades this pediatric practice has extended beyond the walls of a single clinic — into medical education, pediatric tuberculosis advocacy, neonatal care, immunization and preventive child health.

Alongside clinical care, engagement has continued in medical education, pediatric tuberculosis advocacy, neonatal care, immunization and preventive child health — sharing experience with pediatricians and healthcare professionals through scientific meetings, faculty assignments, professional training and public-health initiatives.
The objective has remained simple:
“To turn experience into knowledge, knowledge into action, and successful local initiatives into approaches that can be shared more widely.”
Local experience in Sonipat has been carried into state and national professional forums — not as a finished answer, but as practical experience for others to learn from and adapt.
Four decades of clinical practice, free pediatric TB care, immunization and the Zero Pediatric TB Sonipat Model.
State-level roles in IAP and IMA, state CMEs, NTEP meetings and pediatric TB training.
PEDICON, NEOCON, IMA NATCON and institutional meetings in Delhi, Gurugram, Chandigarh, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
Lectures, training, publications and policy communication that help others strengthen childhood TB prevention.
Some of the most meaningful work begins locally. Working closely with children, families and healthcare professionals in Sonipat provided the foundation for the Baal Kshay Rog Mukt Sonipat Task Force — led by IAP Sonipat, working alongside district TB and immunization teams to show how professional engagement can complement the national TB programme.
The work moves through one continuous sequence:

Clinical and academic work has been complemented by responsibilities in professional organisations and public-health programmes:
Clinical experience becomes more valuable when it is documented and shared. Published work has covered:
Recent work has also shared field experience with District and State TB programme officials on strengthening childhood TB prevention. The aim is a continuous pathway:
For more than four decades, the work has evolved from caring for individual children to strengthening the systems around childhood health.
Through clinical practice, pediatric TB advocacy, professional education, immunization, public-health initiatives and collaboration with medical and government teams, the focus has remained consistent:
to translate knowledge into action that can improve the health of children and communities.
The journey continues — from the bedside, to the classroom, to the community, and to the wider public-health system.
